Bespoke production of machine-made flat-handle bags

Machine-made paper bags are a very common type of bag for carrying shopping or as an affordable option for gift bags. We have the technology to produce both flat-handle bags – currently the closest substitute for plastic bags – and machines for producing bags with twisted handles.

We assess each enquiry individually, taking into account production volume, the complexity of the print, the type of material, the handle design and the intended use. Our production capacity allows for monthly deliveries of up to millions of units.

Production options for flat-handle bags

The cheapest and most commonly used paper carrier bags with handles made from reinforced, folded paper tape. Their advantages include sufficient strength, a lower price than other bag designs, and a comfortable handle design for carrying heavier shopping.

Minimum order quantity:

  • from 5,000 to 10,000,000 pieces

Delivery times:

  • 5 to 12 weeks depending on design and quantity
  • larger orders in the range of hundreds of thousands to millions of pieces are divided into partial deliveries at agreed intervals

Printing options:

  • partial or full-surface flexographic printing in 1 to 6 colours, including full-colour CMYK printing and white underprinting on brown paper
  • We use only eco-friendly, water-based inks for printing
  • For the first order, you will need to factor in the cost of printing plates, the price of which is calculated based on the print coverage
  • For repeat production, there is no charge for printing plates

  • small bags: 18x8x25, 22x10x35 cm
  • approximately A4: 24x11x33, 26x14x36 cm
  • approximately A3: 32x14x42 cm
  • large bags: 45x17x48 cm
  • menu box bags: 26x17x25, 32x20x28 cm

Materials:

  • brown kraft paper 70–100 g/m²
  • white kraft paper 70–100 g/m²
  • we use paper made from 100 % fibres or with a partial recycled content
  • on request, we can use FSC-certified paper for production
  • for certain materials, we can provide a food contact certificate on request

Bag load-bearing capacities:

  • depending on the chosen material, from 5 to 12 kg distributed weight (the load-bearing capacity is calculated based on the material’s strength under uniform loading)
