To create a preview of the bag design with your print, we need you to send us the print data in vector format. Customers sometimes send us raster data, most commonly saved as .jpg or .png files. These files cannot be used to create a preview or subsequently to produce a screen or printing plate.
Vector vs Raster**A
raster image** is made up of many small dots, known as pixels. Each point has its own defined coordinates. This is where the term ‘bitmap’ or ‘bitmap graphics’ comes from. You will mainly encounter this type of graphics in photographs.
Vector graphics are made up of curves – vectors – rather than points. Enlarging these curves does not result in any loss of quality. Their shape, colour, line thickness and fill are predefined. They are suitable for creating company logos, charts, illustrations, etc.
