Ecological material for bag production
Paper eco bags in our range are made from sulfate, kraft, or 100% recycled paper. Textile eco bags are also made from 100 % natural material. For bag printing we use ecological water-dilutable inks.
Why is a paper bag ECO?
Paper bags are made from renewable sources
Tree production as a renewable source is required for the production of paper bags. These sources can be repeatedly drawn unlike non-renewable sources, whose reserves are thinning each year. Higher consumption of paper bags at the expense of plastic ones can moreover lead to a growing tendency to plant new and new trees for these purposes. These subsequently contribute to afforestation and – related to this – rehydration of the planet.
When discarded in nature, paper bags decompose into fibers
In nature, paper decomposes beautifully, approximately 2 – 5 months. If it ends up outside a recycling container, it's not as big a problem as with plastic bags, which decompose for tens of years.
Paper bags are recyclable
Just like plastic bags, paper bags can be recycled. However, paper can only be recycled 5 to 7 times, because during recycling the fibers lose elasticity. Carrier paper bags are however in most cases made from fully recyclable material and can thus be repeatedly used for the production of other products.
Bag printing with water-based inks
We use water-soluble inks for printing. The advantage of these inks is that they don't contain solvents, don't smell, and are easy to work with even in spaces without ventilation. This is an ecological printing method as opposed to solvent-based or plastisol inks used for bag printing by many printers and manufacturers among the competition.
Low carbon footprint
Our paper bag production brings with it a low carbon footprint. Material for our bags is imported from domestic or surrounding countries. There is thus no unnecessary increase in environmental pollution from truck transportation.
Paper bags contribute to reducing plastic waste on our planet
Until recently, almost all shops offered their customers carrier bags made of plastic. Their mandatory charging and people's increasing orientation toward the environment caused them to be replaced in many shops by bags from more ecological materials, for example fabric, paper or jute bags.
They are cheap, costing a few crowns
Paper bags are no longer "luxury goods" that some shop just can't afford. Their price including printing is now very low. So low that it almost matches the costs of plastic bag production
Why is plastic worse than paper?
Plastic bags are difficult to decompose
Plastic waste decomposes in nature for tens to hundreds of years. The decomposition of one plastic bag is estimated at 25 years. However, if it's made from polyethylene, polypropylene or polyester fibers, it decomposes for up to 500 years.
Most of them end up outside recycling containers
Although some of us diligently sort waste, the vast majority of plastic bags end up outside recycling containers. And what's worse, some of them end up outside any containers. They subsequently accumulate in nature, where they decompose for hundreds of years. And moreover they contain dangerous substances that are released from them into nature.
They contribute to microplastic production in oceans
Plastic bags along with other plastic waste pollute nature including rivers or oceans, where they contribute to microplastic production. Microplastics are subsequently consumed by marine animals, which from time to time also appear on our menu. Microplastics that they consume can subsequently have a negative impact on our health.
They are made from a non-renewable source
Plastic bag production is based on oil processing, from which polyethylene, polypropylene, polyethylene film and other types of plastics are obtained. Oil reserves are however limited and are thinning very quickly. Wasting this non-renewable source on plastic bag production, which customers often use only once, is therefore completely inexcusable.
Their production is not ecological
During plastic bag production, greenhouse gases and pollutants are produced. Pollutants include, for example, sulfur, which subsequently contributes to the formation of acid rain.
